“What is it like to be in love?”

“Free. It feels free, like there’s nothing that can stop me, nothing can hold me down.
It feels as if I can do anything because of love and I’m free of the fear of failure because,
even if I can’t do everything, at least at the end of the day,
there’s still me and him. When all else fails, love won’t.”

(Episode One of the Campus Life series)

Dedicated to Hokum who's life not only inspired Kyuhyun's actions, but who caused me to have Eunhyuk's reactions.

Spring Semester 1, March

The first day of school is supposed to be boring. By law it’s supposed to be uneventful, inconsequential. It’s supposed to be nothing more than four professors introducing themselves to students who still couldn’t believe that the winter break was over and a new school year had begun. However, that wasn’t the case for one freshman in particular.

Jo Kyuhyun was walking around SJ University’s campus that first spring day of school when he saw something - or rather, someone - who would change his perception on school. It was by chance, really, when it happened. Kyuhyun was walking between two of his classes and had stopped to tie his shoelace. Pushing his satchel to his back rather than his side, he knelt down on one knee and began working his laces.

It was something peculiar about shoelaces, Kyuhyun thought, because they never seemed to want to stay tied for him. Granted, his black Converse shoes were new so the laces hadn’t been worn in yet, but even his old sneakers back home wouldn’t stay tied. And where was home for Kyuhyun? Quite a few hours’ drive from Incheon where prestigious SJ University was located.

While contemplating the complexities of his shoelaces, Kyuhyun had abruptly stood up and immediately found himself on the ground again; this time sprawled on the brick ground. He looked around and found another guy crawling out from underneath a bicycle. He stood up and began dusting off his jeans when he looked at Kyuhyun,

“Hey kid, where’d you come from?” He demanded, one hand on his hip, “You popped out of no where like some kind of asymptote!”

Kyuhyun blinked. Was he dead? He must’ve been. The guy who stood before him was too damn good-looking to be real. In the back of his mind he heard himself chanting ‘stand Kyuhyun, say something! Stop gaping like a fish!’; his body refused to listen.

The young man tilted his head slightly as if regarding Kyuhyun, “Well? Do I get an answer or do you not speak Korean?” He sighed frustrated as he ran a hand through straight, black hair that was at chin-length in the front and shorter in the back; “Well kid, I don’t have time to talk, so I expect an explanation the moment you learn Korean!”

The young man stretched his arms to the blue sky before picking up his bike and approaching Kyuhyun, “Are you alright? I guess I should’ve asked that first.”

Somehow - Kyuhyun wasn’t aware exactly - he managed to nod dumbly.

“Ah, an answer,” the other man smiled at him then reached out a hand and ruffled Kyuhyun’s short, shaggy, black hair, “See you around, kid.” He hopped on his bike and then rode off, disappearing amongst the sea of students commuting between classes.

It wasn’t until Kyuhyun could no longer see him, that he slowly rose to his feet and muttered, “I’m not a kid.”

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Kyuhyun snapped his head to his side. The guy who sat beside him in the lecture hall was looking at him peculiarly. “Y-yes?” Kyuhyun managed, still startled from being pulled from his thoughts.

“I asked if you had an extra pencil,” he grinned widely, “I must’ve left mine in my dorm.”

“Ah, yes,” Kyuhyun reached for his satchel bag at his feet and pulled it atop the table that ran a third of the length of the lecture hall, servicing ten students as a desk. He pulled out a pencil from a side pocket and handed it over to the other man while putting his bag back on the ground, “Sorry, I was daydreaming.”

The other guy waved him off, “It’s fine. I get like that whenever I have to hear the bi-annual speeches the professors make about the course and themselves. I didn’t expect to have to write down anything though,” he explained as he glanced at the whiteboard at the front of the lecture hall and wrote down what the professor written.

“You’re not a first year?” Kyuhyun asked tentatively,

“Ah, you found me out,” he grinned at him again, “I’m a third year actually, but apparently in my degree’s syllabus I need at least one math credit under my belt. Since I haven’t taken any math courses before, I’m only qualified to be in a first-year math course.”

“But… calculus is one of the hardest,” Kyuhyun blinked,

“Yeah… unfortunately for me, this class is the only one with a schedule that suits mine,” he sighed before handing back the pencil. He glanced Kyuhyun, “You’re here to be here, aren’t you? Some kind of math student?”

“Kind of,” Kyuhyun shrugged as he, in turn, wrote what the professor had on the white board, “I’m in computer sciences. It goes hand-in-hand with math for a bit before it starts specializing more.”

“You wouldn’t be adverse to helping me out if I don’t get something, would you?” The other guy asked hesitantly, “There’s a reason why I’ve avoided taking a math course for the two previous years. But hey, it can’t be a one-way street right? I’ll help you around campus, help you get the ins and outs of SJ U.?”

“Really?” Kyuhyun smiled hopefully, “Because I’m not from here and I’d really appreciate it!”

“Yeah, no problem. By the way, what’s your name?” He asked as the professor dismissed the students for that day.

“Jo Kyuhyun,” he said, bowing the moment he stood up,

“Well Jo Kyuhyun, I’m Lee Eunhyuk,” he offered his hand which Kyuhyun shook immediately. He grinned widely once more, “and welcome to SJ University.”

“And that’s the student centre,” Eunhyuk pointed out on their way back to the dormitories, “Geez, Kyuhyun, I’m beginning to question the school’s orientation week schedules. Didn’t they teach you anything?”

“I couldn’t make it, besides, orientation week costs money that I can’t spend,” Kyuhyun explained as he adjusted the strap of his bag, pushing his satchel towards his back.

“Well, I can tell I’ll have to give you the grand tour all over again later.” When Kyuhyun looked at him confusedly, he laughed, “Whenever I’d point something out, you’d be looking in some other direction. Is there something you’re looking for in particular? Because this could save me some time.”

“Oh, there was someone I met this morning and I was just looking for them,” Kyuhyun added quickly, “Y’know… just… just to see a familiar face.”

Eunhyuk nodded knowingly, “Yeah, first year can be pretty scary, so I can get wanting to stick to someone you know.” Suddenly he paused, “Sungmin!”

Another young man glanced around before spotting them and sprinted up to them, “What’s up Eunhyuk? Who’s this? Cheating on Donghae?” He turned fox-like eyes on Kyuhyun, looking him up and down.

Eunhyuk laughed, “No, this is Jo Kyuhyun, I just met him in calculus.”

“Hi Kyuhyun, my name’s Lee Sungmin,” Sungmin greeted as Kyuhyun straightened from his bow, “If you’re in a math class with Eunhyuk, you should run now before it’s too late.”

“Ha. Ha,” Eunhyuk rolled his eyes, “I was just wondering if I could still take you up on your offer to weekly study sessions? At least for the first week or so?”

Sungmin crossed his arms loosely, “I already gave you my notes from two years ago, I really don’t have time to tutor someone, Eunhyuk.”

“Please hyung! Just once a week! For an hour - no, no, thirty minutes!” Eunhyuk pleaded,

Sungmin smiled eventually, his fox-like eyes dancing, “Oh alright. But not for too long, my course load is pretty heavy this semester and if I can avoid it, I don’t want to tutor this year.”

“Thank you,” Eunhyuk grinned as Sungmin made his goodbyes,

“I warned you Kyuhyun-sshi. Run,” Sungmin laughed as he walked off.

“He’s a third year taking honours science,” Eunhyuk explained, “Sungmin will make a great doctor, so personable.”

“Well, if you have him, why am I helping you with calculus?” Kyuhyun asked as they continued on towards the dormitory buildings,

“Because the more help I can get, the better it is,” Eunhyuk stated,

“And who’s this Donghae he mentioned? Your girlfriend?” Kyuhyun inquired,

“Something like that,” Eunhyuk waved it off and asked immediately, “So who’s this person you met? Maybe I know them? Direct you to their dorm so you two can buddy up whenever you don’t have a third-year student dragging you down.”

Kyuhyun chewed on his bottom like, “That’s the thing… I don’t… I don’t exactly know their name.”

Eunhyuk stopped immediately and just blinked at Kyuhyun, “But… but that’s the first thing you do when you meet someone.”

“Yeah, well… it wasn’t that much of a meeting,” Kyuhyun laughed sheepishly as he ran a hand through his hair.

“Well, once you figure out their name then I can help you out,” Eunhyuk stated.

Kyuhyun nodded and they continued on to the dormitories.

Eunhyuk yawned as he stretched his arms to the ceiling. He propped his elbow on the counter before him and held his chin in his hand. He glanced around the room, there were a few students milling around, but not enough for him to stay on his toes. He glanced at the front door as a young man entered,

“Yesung, I would’ve told you not to bother coming into the club, but I’m so bored that I need your company,” Eunhyuk stated.

“I almost didn’t come,” Yesung admitted as he came around the counter and took out a binder from behind the counter. “Had a near-accident this morning.”

“Oh?” Eunhyuk yawned as he readjusted his elbow on the counter,

“Yeah, I was riding my bike on campus and this kid comes out of nowhere. Crashed into him,” Yesung stated, “I think he’s a freshman, ‘cause I’ve never seen him before.”

“It’s not like you know everyone on campus,” Eunhyuk pointed out,

Yesung stopped what he had been writing in the binder. He chewed on the end of his pen for a moment, “No, I’m sure I would’ve remembered this kid. They make freshmen cuter every year.”

“I didn’t think you were gay,” Eunhyuk stated seriously,

“I’m not,” Yesung said simply as he closed the binder and replaced it on its shelf, “But he was pretty cute. I think I could go gay for him.”

“That’s high praise,” Eunhyuk said as he stood up as one of the customers approached, “I’ve never heard you going gay for someone.”

“Well, I did back in high school,” Yesung admitted, “but that was then and I’ve gone quite straight since then.”

“I can tell with that long line of broken hearts behind you,” Eunhyuk chuckled then added, “Done for today, Shindong?” As the customer reached the register.

“Yeah, Eunhyuk. I think I’ll have to cut down on the billiards,” The other man stated as he pulled out his wallet, “Bills and stuff to pay, along with tuition. Not so busy tonight, huh?”

“It’s the first day. Once the freshmen learn of this place, we’ll be packed quite regularly,” Yesung stated, “The billiards club is a good distance from campus without being too far.”

“Well, if you expect to be busy, you guys should hire more people,” Shindong suggested as he paid and replaced his wallet, “Heck, I’d apply. God knows I could use the extra pocket-money, but I’m too busy at home for a second job.”

“Hmm… maybe we’ll put out an add,” Eunhyuk glanced at Yesung who nodded immediately, “We’ll get approval from the boss then get on that. Thanks for the suggestion Shindong!”

“Ah, anytime. You guys let me come and play at a discount,” he winked at his friends, “Well, I’ll catch you two later!” He waved behind him before disappearing through the front door.

“So how was your first day?” Yesung asked as he pulled up a stool to the cash register, “Probably not as eventful as mine.”

“You mean did I cause bodily harm to a poor freshman? No,” Eunhyuk laughed, “But I actually met a freshman in my calculus class. I guess you could say we became buddies? But yeah, he seems like an okay guy and I can tell he knows his stuff.”

“It’s been one day, how can you be sure?” Yesung stated,

“I can tell,” Eunhyuk repeated, “So with his help and Sungmin, I can surely pass calculus. Especially since,” he glanced at Yesung, “someone won’t help me.”

“I’m too busy to tutor someone,” Yesung defended,

“Sure, sure,” Eunhyuk waved him off, leaning against the back counter and crossing his arms loosely about his torso, “You know, if you needed help with music, as a music major I would help you.”

“First off, you know I’m starting my grad studies this year. Secondly, if I tried to explain mathematics to you the way I understand it, you would cry and I’d try to kill you,” Yesung stated simply, “So just stick to Sungmin and your little freshman. Does your freshman have a name?”

“Don’t say it like that, Donghae might hear one time and think I’m cheating or something,” Eunhyuk stated seriously before adding, “And his name is Kyuhyun.”

“Hmm,” Yesung mused, “Cute name, too.”

Two days later, Kyuhyun was heading towards calculus again when he realized he was at the exact spot on campus when he ran into the other guy the other day. He paused and looked around. He glanced down at his wristwatch and at ten-thirteen, that good-looking guy rode past on his bike. But this time, they didn’t crash. This time, the guy didn’t see him. This time, the guy didn’t talk to him.

Absent-mindedly, Kyuhyun touched the top of his head, as if it were still warm from when the other guy had ruffled his hair. As if in a trance, Kyuhyun began to walk after him. Further and further, the bike was disappearing from his sight and before Kyuhyun realized it, he was in a full dash after the man on the bicycle.

On some level, Kyuhyun knew he was going crazy, it was the only explanation. On a different level, however, Kyuhyun knew that he had to follow this guy, whoever he is. He was bumping into people who would part for a bicycle, but less inclined to do so for a running person. He called back apologies as he kept his eyes focused on the bicycle that weaved through the crowd.

As if a stroke of genius had hit him, as he ran, Kyuhyun reached for his jeans’ pocket and began scrambling to get his cellular phone out. He almost cried out when he realized his phone wasn’t in his pocket, it was in his bag. Somehow, he managed to manoeuvre his satchel from his back, to in front of him and he had both hands in his bag, sifting through his notebooks and pencils and other accessories, just to find his phone.

He felt the shape of his phone and pulled it out, holding it up to aim at the bicycle man when he swore. In his hand wasn’t his phone but a calculator. When he lowered the calculator, the bicycle man was gone and now he was even farther from class than before. Mentally yelling at himself, Kyuhyun shoved his calculator back into his bag. He swung his bag to his back and, arms crossed, he turned and headed back towards the math building.

No matter, he told himself. This wouldn’t be the last time. In two days’ time, he’ll have the same class schedule as today and, hopefully, the bicycle man will too. Then, he’ll be waiting at the same spot for ten-thirteen. He’ll have his phone ready then, and he’ll take a photo. As he walked through the crowd, he couldn’t help but smile to himself. Genius, he declared in his mind.

Idiot! He thought as he made his way to calculus two days later; he was accompanied this time by Eunhyuk. They were nearing the spot where Kyuhyun had created his elaborate plan to revolve around. When they reached it, Kyuhyun glanced at his watch, ten-ten. He stopped and Eunhyuk did too, looking at him,

“Is something wrong?” Eunhyuk asked,

“Ah… yes… no,” Kyuhyun sighed, “I don’t know!”

“Well… how about you tell me and I can help you decide?” Eunhyuk offered, stuffing his hands into his pockets,

“Well, remember that person I told you I ‘met’ a few days ago? I realized that I can see that person Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the same time at this spot and… I don’t mean to be rude, but now you’re here with me,” Kyuhyun sighed heavily,

Eunhyuk blinked before grinning and laughing out loud, “I assure you, I’m not going to swoop in and steal this person on you. I have someone, trust me Kyuhyun. But what do you plan to do those three days of the week? Just watch that person walk by?”

Kyuhyun shook his head as he pulled out his phone, “This phone is equipped with one of the best camera phones! While they go by, I’ll snap a picture of them!”

“And do what? Pine away at it?” Eunhyuk raised an eyebrow,

“Well, at least then I can show you who they are and you’ll see why I’m willing to do this for them,” Kyuhyun explained as he began setting up the camera on his phone. He glanced at his watch, “It’s ten-eleven, they’ll be here in two minutes.”

“You’re… kind of scaring me,” Eunhyuk admitted lightly. He looked around at the students passing by, “How much longer now?”

“A minute,” Kyuhyun said as he looked at his watch.

“Alright. Ah, I see my friend Yesung, I’ll be back,” Eunhyuk said. Kyuhyun waved him off and he sprinted off to intercept the path of Yesung’s bike. Yesung halted immediately and moved off his bicycle seat so he could stand flat on the ground,

“I never see you at school,” Yesung laughed, “I was beginning to think you never went to class.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Eunhyuk rolled his eyes, “I was walking to class with that freshman I was talking to you about. He has to do something right now and I saw you. Thought I’d say hi.”

“Aw, thanks Eunhyuk,” Yesung said playfully, “Maybe now I can meet your freshman.”

“I told you not to say it like that,” Eunhyuk rolled his eyes as they started walking to where Kyuhyun was waiting.

“Oh wait,” Yesung took out his cellular phone to check the phone, “Damn, I’m going to be late for my class. I’ll meet the guy another time, is that okay?”

“Sure,” Eunhyuk replied, “Where’s your class?”

“There was problems with room schedules this semester, so my class is on west campus,” Yesung explained as he replaced his phone,

“West campus? It’ll take you ten minutes on your bike to get there,” Eunhyuk blinked,

“I know, I know,” Yesung sighed, “Maybe instead of going straight like usual… I can cut through the recreational centre? Maybe none of the kinesiology classes are on the fields yet.”

Eunhyuk nodded and barely got a chance to wave as Yesung turned ninety degrees and sped off on his bike, disappearing through the crowd. Eunhyuk looked around and spotted Kyuhyun. He walked through the students to his side, “So, get a good picture?”

Kyuhyun looked at his watch, “No. It’s quarter-after and they still haven’t come past. I wonder what happened.”

“Maybe they don’t have their class on Friday? Just Monday and Wednesday,” Eunhyuk suggested,

“I guess,” Kyuhyun muttered gloomily as they started walking towards the math building, “Did you get a chance to talk to your friend?”

“Huh? Oh yeah - Yesung,” Eunhyuk nodded, “I would’ve introduced you two, but stopping to talk to me made him late, so he had to take a short cut to west campus. You know, if you two met, I think you guys would make fast friends. He’s a really nice guy. He’s crazy smart in math but really down to earth about it.”

Kyuhyun nodded in understanding, “If he’s your friend, he must be a good guy.”

It was the following week when Kyuhyun found himself zoning out during one of his computer classes. He sat in the back corner of the room, his eyes barely registering the computer screen before him as the teacher’s voice droned on and on. He had been late getting to ‘the spot’ - because that’s how he reverently named the place - the past Monday and today, Wednesday, which only made him more upset. It wasn’t as if he liked the guy, how could he without knowing him? But, that guy was gorgeous; it was the only way Kyuhyun could describe him. It was a sin for the guy to be so good-looking and in turn, it was a sin to go a day without seeing such a work of art.

Kyuhyun sighed heavily as he briefly glanced at the teacher before letting himself drift in and out of his thoughts. There must be some way to find out who the guy was. If he could run into the guy at least once - one more time - Kyuhyun was sure he could weasel out a name. Then Eunhyuk could help him from there. He glanced at the computer screen, deciding to do some work before returning to his musings.

“A virus, as you all know, acts like a Trojan horse. They pretend to be something their not just to lure themselves into your computers. Then, when it’s most optimal for their purposes, they’ll strike,” The professor explained, “In the same way, you can create a program to remove a virus. By creating a façade, your program can get close to a virus before it puts up its own firewalls. Then, before the virus can detect you properly, you can attack.”

Kyuhyun blinked. Could… could it be? He stared at his computer screen, not truly seeing the words and images before him. He pulled out his note book and flipped it to a blank page. Grabbing a pen he had been idly twirling in his fingers, he began to write on the page. He drew a circle - which was truly more oval than circular - and wrote ‘bicycle man’ inside it. Then he drew a triangle and wrote ‘me’ within the lines. He drew a dotted line between the circle and triangle.

He glanced to the computer screen where a summary of the professor’s lecture was shown, “Virus equals Trojan horse,” Kyuhyun muttered, “Could… could I apply this to him?” Kyuhyun looked down at his notepad, his eyes glued to the words ‘bicycle man’. “Really?” He muttered as he chewed on the end of his pen, “Could computer science be used to hit on someone?”

Kyuhyun tapped his lips with the end of his pen as he thought of ways to apply his newly gained knowledge.

It was that Friday when Kyuhyun decided to implement his plan. It was before the first classes of the day began when Kyuhyun stood at ‘the spot’. He looked around amongst the sleepy students. Slowly, he began to walk across campus,

“He always came from this direction,” Kyuhyun muttered,

“Who did?” Kyuhyun nearly jumped out of his skin when Eunhyuk came abreast with him,

“That person I was talking about,” Kyuhyun explained, “Whenever I waited to see them, they always came in this direction. So I figure if I start walking in this direction, then perhaps I’ll find them and their first class.”

“But didn’t you say their… his?… His class wasn’t on Friday?” Eunhyuk inquired,

“Well you suggested it, but I thought that perhaps it was just a chance and that he did have the class on Fridays,” Kyuhyun explained, “I mean, how many classes only happen on Monday and Wednesday without Fridays?”

“Plenty, but I’ll come along anyway,” Eunhyuk grinned at him widely, “So now that a gender’s been disclosed, can I get a description too? Perhaps I can help you.”

“Um… about your height. He seemed fit. Black hair, chin-length at the front…” Kyuhyun tried to formulate words that best expressed his memory of the bicycle man, however no word in the Korean language - or any language at that - was enough.

Eunhyuk gave him a slanted look, “You described about sixty-percent of all Asians,” then, after a quick thought, added, “Male and female.”

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes when he saw a familiar figure walking into the main math building ahead of them, “Math? MATH? He was coming from the building I was always going to?” Kyuhyun cursed, “Damn, if I left physics early every other day I’d get to see him as you left the math building!”

Eunhyuk glanced at him as they headed towards the entrance, “I’m slowly regretting our acquaintance, Kyuhyun…”

Kyuhyun headed towards one of the classroom doors on the ground level, “He wasn’t that far ahead of us, so he must be in one of these classrooms,” He and Eunhyuk stepped into the back of a classroom. Students were slowly trickling into the small classroom, preparing their things. Kyuhyun looked around, “Considering I described sixty-percent of all Asians, I don’t see his hair,” he said, trying to catch glimpses of faces as he stared in vain at the backs of heads,

Eunhyuk rolled his eyes, “Ah, I see my friend Yesung, I can introduce you guys.”

“Another time?” Kyuhyun asked, “I’m want to check another classroom.”

Eunhyuk chuckled lightly, “Sure, I’ll meet you out in the main corridor? I just want to say hi.” Kyuhyun nodded and disappeared out the door. He went over to Yesung and slid into the empty seat beside him, “Hey buddy.”

Yesung blinked as he pulled out his black, full-framed glasses, “What are you doing here?”

“Kyuhyun’s looking for someone and I saw you here,” Eunhyuk explained, “Thought I’d say hi.” He glanced at Yesung’s head where a white beanie was, “Why are you wearing a hat?”

“I just put it on a second ago,” Yesung answered. “After I got inside I realized how much the wind messed with my hair on the way to class, so I put on my beanie.”

“Well, I better go meet Kyuhyun,” Eunhyuk got up,

“I’ll come with you, I have to go to the washroom anyway,” Yesung said before turning to a classmate and asking them to watch his things for him. “So, are you coming to the club today?” He inquired as they went into the main corridor,

“I’m not scheduled to, and besides, I have some school work to do,” Eunhyuk explained. He looked around, “Maybe he’s waiting outside for me. I’ll catch you later?”

Yesung nodded as he turned towards the washrooms. He went to open the door when it opened before him. The young man from last week was exiting at the same time he was entering. “Oh, sorry,” the young man said, stepping back and holding the door open for Yesung.

“Ah, thanks kid,” Yesung smiled at him before slipping into one of the cubicles.

Kyuhyun walked into the corridor and the door swung close behind him when reality hit him. He was wearing a hat now and glasses, but it was definitely him! Kyuhyun spun around and ran back into the washroom then paused. He eyed the cubicle where the bicycle man had entered. He bounced on the balls of his feet as he glanced towards the washroom door, Eunhyuk would be waiting for him but he finally had the bicycle man cornered.

He pulled out his phone and pointed it towards the cubicle door, ready for when it opened. Slowly, he lowered it. Is this too creepy? He sighed as he left the washroom, pocketing his phone as he did so. He glanced towards the main doors of the math building and could see Eunhyuk pacing. He walked towards him just as Eunhyuk was about to re-enter the building.

“Where were you?” Eunhyuk asked as he held the door open for Kyuhyun to exit,

“The washroom,” Kyuhyun replied as he stepped out into the cool, spring day, “And I found the guy in there… and I was going to wait but… there are boundaries to stalking a person.”

“There are. Why don’t you just wait outside in the hall for him then?” Eunhyuk inquired.

Kyuhyun blinked and immediately walked back into the building. Eunhyuk followed at a more leisurely pace, stopping outside the washroom doors to wait with Kyuhyun. A few minutes passed and Eunhyuk glanced at his watch, “You know… if he’s still in there… waiting for him to… finish… is a bit awkward.”

“Ugh, I know!” Kyuhyun ran both hands through his hair. He leaned back against the wall and sighed, “What if… he’s not there anymore?”

“You going in to check won’t make it any less awkward than waiting for him to finish his business,” Eunhyuk shrugged, crossing his arms loosely about his torso.

Kyuhyun glanced at Eunhyuk who looked away, pretending as if he had no acquaintance with him. Sighing, Kyuhyun stepped towards the washroom and slowly entered. It was quiet and hesitantly, he bent enough to check for feet in the stalls: none. He straightened and blinked. None? He went up to the stall where he had seen the bicycle man enter and gently pushed. The door creaked as it swung open, but the stall was empty.

“Oh fuck,” Kyuhyun muttered. Crossing his arms, he turned on his heel and exited swiftly.

“Well?” Eunhyuk looked up at his exit,

“He’s not in there,” Kyuhyun caught the peculiar look in his friend’s eyes, “I’m not crazy! He was in there! He must’ve left while we were outside.”

“You have horrible luck with this guy,” Eunhyuk commented lightly.

“Don’t I know it,” Kyuhyun sighed, “Damn it, I should’ve just waited with my camera phone outside of his stall.”

Eunhyuk’s eyebrows raised in alarm. Kyuhyun pinked at his friend’s expression and started walking away before Eunhyuk could ask. Unfortunately, Eunhyuk followed.

It was the third Monday of the school year and Eunhyuk was already tired of his 8 o’clock classes. He yawned for the thirteenth time since leaving the dormitories when he caught sight of a girl. She stood in one spot just looking around idly, her long black hair swishing around her. Dressed in tight, flared jeans and a long-sleeved shirt, Eunhyuk knew that if he were single, she would be his type.

As he approached, he planned in his mind how to catch sight of her face since her back was to him. As he neared, he turned, “Excuse me, do you have the - oh my god, Kyuhyun.” Kyuhyun blinked back at him, the side sweep of the wig his was wearing not disguising him from Eunhyuk at all. “What are you doing?”

“I’m going to follow him to his class today,” Kyuhyun explained,

“What,” he gestured to Kyuhyun’s clothes, “Are you doing?”

“Well, I needed to be in disguise,” Kyuhyun explained matter-of-factly, “My plan last time didn’t work, so I modified it.”

“You make it sound like it’s a video game. And besides, you couldn’t disguise yourself as a guy?” Eunhyuk slanted his gaze at him,

“My roommate made it sound so much better earlier,” Kyuhyun muttered, crossing his arms loosely about his torso, “Well, I’m dressed like this now, might as well go with it.”

“I don’t know whether or not to run away or come and watch the show,” Eunhyuk shook his head as they started walking towards the math building.

“Come along,” Kyuhyun insisted, “Please hyung? Now that we’re almost there I need some support.”

“I’m pretty sure I don’t have a dongsaeng like you,” Eunhyuk stated. He glanced at Kyuhyun who looked at him imploringly, sticking his bottom lip out to form a pout. He scowled as he looked away, “Fine, but never dress like that again… geez, you could convince me to commit murder when you look like that.”

“So what are you going to do once we’re in his class?” Eunhyuk asked lightly, stuffing his hands into his jeans’ pockets.

“Um… I haven’t gotten that far yet,” Kyuhyun said sheepishly, “Actually… my plan only got up until getting into the class and sitting behind him.”

“Behind him?” Eunhyuk repeated,

“I thought it’d be too bold to sit beside him,” Kyuhyun explained simply, “Besides, if I sit too close he might see my facial hair. I don’t think I shaved enough this morning.”

“You have no facial hair,” Eunhyuk rolled his eyes, “You’re still just a kid.”

“Ah! There he is!” Kyuhyun pointed. Eunhyuk shook his head as he followed Kyuhyun’s approach.

“So, once we’re in the classroom, what are we going to do?” Eunhyuk inquired as they followed the bicycle man into the math building.

“I’ll get his name and then you can help me find him but I’ll be myself again,” Kyuhyun explained. “Eh? This is the classroom we went into before,” he whispered as they followed a few metres behind the bicycle man, “I’m sure he wasn’t in here though.”

They stopped just inside the door, “Go sit and I’ll follow,” Eunhyuk whispered. Kyuhyun nodded as his eyes followed the bicycle man around the classroom. After he had sat down, Kyuhyun immediately made a beeline after him, Eunhyuk beside him. He casually slipped into the row behind the bicycle man and sat right behind him, Eunhyuk sitting down in the seat diagonally behind the bicycle man. When Eunhyuk looked over at the guy, all he could whisper is, “Are you fucking kidding me?”

Kyuhyun looked at him, “What?” He whispered back.

Eunhyuk rolled his eyes, trying not to laugh, “Just sit there and don’t say anything.” To Kyuhyun’s horror, Eunhyuk reached ahead and tapped the bicycle man’s shoulder. He looked back at Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun could barely breathe at seeing his face up-close.

“Eunhyuk?” The bicycle man said, “Why are you here again?”

Kyuhyun felt his jaw drop. Immediately he dropped his gaze down to the desktop before him as he furtively glanced at the bicycle man and Eunhyuk. He distantly heard Eunhyuk turn to him and say ‘Yesung’. “Eh?” Kyuhyun looked at him, “What did you say?”

“I asked if you remembered how I kept seeing my friend Yesung?” Kyuhyun nodded, “This, is Yesung,” Eunhyuk introduced.

The bicycle man turned towards Kyuhyun and gave him a brilliant smile, “Hi there.”

Kyuhyun dropped his gaze again as he bowed his head slightly, “Hi.”

“Yesung-sshi, this is my friend, Kyuhyun,” Eunhyuk stated, trying hard to swallow his laughter.

Yesung blinked at Kyuhyun, his eyes sweeping over the younger man, “Kyuhyun… isn’t that the name of your freshman? But Kyuhyun is a guy and she’s…”

“Oh, Kyuhyun is a guy,” Eunhyuk nodded as he covered his mouth to further stifle his laughter, “But now, I guess you can stay straight, hyung.”

At those words, Kyuhyun looked up at Yesung, startled. Yesung locked gazes with him a moment before turning his eyes away, his cheeks reddening immediately. Kyuhyun looked down again, but this time, was trying hard to stop himself from smiling.

That was so funny! Oh, poor kyuhyun, drastic times calls for drastic measures, and apparently dressing liek a girl is 'drastic'

I squealed everytime Kyuhyun and Yesung wouldn't meet and it was just the best!!
Can't wait for the second Episode!

Hi! I want to say that I really love this story^^

the way the story developed is really interesting, how Kyu stalked Yesung not knowing he's the friend of Eunhyuk and how Yesung claimed that the boy the accidentally crashed to is very cute not knowing the fact that he's Eunhyuk's freshman, who he claims to have a cute name^^

I like your writing style very much that I'll look up to you as a very good example...

thank you for writing this very awesome KyuSung fic :">

it's like finding a hidden gem^^
I'm so happy I found it!
