“What is it like to be in love?”

“Free. It feels free, like there’s nothing that can stop me, nothing can hold me down.
It feels as if I can do anything because of love and I’m free of the fear of failure because,
even if I can’t do everything, at least at the end of the day,
there’s still me and him. When all else fails, love won’t.”

Ryeowook was in his bedroom getting dressed for that day’s schedule when the door opened and closed so quickly he didn’t realize it until he heard his name. He looked back and jumped at the surprise,

“Hyuk-sshi!” Ryeowook exclaimed as he plopped on his bed and breathed a sigh of relief, “You scared me.”

“Ryeowook, today’s the day,” Eunhyuk stated, locking the door behind him.

Ryeowook’s eyes widened at the sound of the click, the shirt he was about to put on slipped from his fingers, dropping to the floor, “What… what are you talking about?”

Eunhyuk cocked his head, “You know what I’m talking about Ryeowook, I’ve told you many times already you have to stop running away.” He stopped right before Ryeowook and stared down at him, “There’s no other way for it.”

Ryeowook scrambled further onto his bed, trying to attain some distance between him and Eunhyuk. However, that only caused Eunhyuk to lean to wards him until his palms are planted on either side of Ryeowook’s hips.

Eunhyuk leaned forward until their noses were mere inches apart. He gazed down into his eyes, “Ryeowook… it’s time.”

“I’m… I’m not ready!” Ryeowook insisted,

“That doesn’t matter anymore. Time’s up. Whether you’re ready or not doesn’t matter to me anymore, Ryeo-sshi. It’s going to happen - even if that means I have to force you myself,” Eunhyuk stated quietly in solid tones, his gaze never flinching once.

Ryeowook looked around panicked as he tried to back up more, however his foot on the mattress slipped and he ended up falling back into a laying position.

“Well?” Eunhyuk prompted, seemingly unperturbed by his dongsaeng’s new position.

“Not here, hyung - please!” Ryeowook pleaded, almost desperately.

Eunhyuk raised an eyebrow and looked at him quietly a moment before straightening and nodded, “Fine… not here. But today, Ryeowook. I won’t have anymore patience or mercy for this. By the end of the day it’s inevitable,” Eunhyuk commented as he turned and headed to the door again. He paused, picking up the forgotten shirt and tossed it to Ryeowook, “Nice shirt.”

Ryeowook was silent as he watched Eunhyuk leave, the door closing behind him firmly. He let out a heavy sigh as he covered his face with his hands; his face felt as if it were on fire and he was pretty sure he was as red as a tomato. He had been avoiding Eunhyuk the past few weeks, but this time he had been cornered. The look in Eunhyuk’s eyes and tone of his voice meant there was no more room to run. Today would be the day.

Later that afternoon in the recording studio, Ryeowook finished recording and came out of the room, plopping down on a nearby couch. He hadn’t been sitting for longer than a second when Eunhyuk came and sat down beside him, slinging an arm about his shoulders and offering him a bottle of water for his vocal chords.

Ryeowook politely took the bottle and slowly began sipping the cool water. He tensed as Eunhyuk tightened his arm about his shoulders and leaned in until he could speak low enough for just the two of them,

“How about here?” Eunhyuk asked quietly, “There are plenty empty rooms on this floor alone, could just slip into one for a couple of minutes.”

Ryeowook shook his head, “No! People might… they might hear or walk in or something,”

“That’s bound to happen anywhere… All you have to do is lock the door,” Eunhyuk reasoned,

“No… no. Not here,” Ryeowook argued. Eunhyuk looked at him peculiarly, “Today, but… but not here.”

That seemed enough to satisfy Eunhyuk, so he inclined his head just so and then quietly removed himself from Ryeowook, going off to talk of choreography with Shindong and Donghae. Once free of him, Ryeowook slumped against the couch and let out a steady breath, he thought after that morning Eunhyuk would lay off, but apparently he was only going to continue pressuring him until it actually happened. He took a long swig of his water. Today would be the day, Eunhyuk would make sure of that. Ryeowook swallowed hard.

By the time they were done at the recording studio, it was already dinner time. So, Super Junior and their staff went off to have dinner at one of their favourite restaurants. During the meal, at some point Eunhyuk somehow - SOMEHOW - came around to Ryeowook and stood behind his chair,

“How about here?” Eunhyuk suggested quietly, seemingly exchanging a few friendly words with his dongsaeng as the others chatted and laughed happily around them.

“What? Here? Where could…”

“In the bathroom? It’s always been nice and clean in there,” Eunhyuk stated, “Good lighting too… and there’s a lock on the door; I just checked.”

Ryeowook lowered his gaze to his plate as he flushed. He continued to eat slowly as he said between bites, “Not here… it’s not… it’s not romantic if it’s in the bathroom.”

Eunhyuk paused before answering, “It doesn’t have to be romantic. It doesn’t always have to be flowers and candles - it just has to be honest.”

“I know, it’s just… this is my first time doing this and… I want it to be perfect,” Ryeowook confessed.

Eunhyuk was silent again before clapping a hand to his shoulder, “Whatever you want.”

“Today,” Ryeowook insisted, turning to look at him before he returned to his seat, “Just not here…”

Eunhyuk nodded silently and then returned to his seat. Ryeowook sighed, Eunhyuk made a good point, but still… he had an idea of how he wanted it to be and it definitely did not happen in a locked bathroom of a fancy restaurant.

Later that evening as everyone was heading off to bed, Eunhyuk stopped Ryeowook in the living room, but before Eunhyuk could say anything, Ryeowook interrupted him, “Today… now.”

“Now?” Eunhyuk raised his eyes in question.

Ryeowook nodded as he wrapped his arms about him and squeezed affectionately, “Thank you hyung for making me do this.”
Eunhyuk nodded silently and walked off to his own bedroom. Ryeowook waited until the last sounds of the others dissipated and then went out onto the balcony, closing the glass door behind him,

“What time is your flight tomorrow?”

Ryeowook leaned against the railing, crossing his arms atop it. He gazed out at the city lights below and star light above. He took a steadying breath before answering, “We leave after breakfast… Yesung-sshi -”

“Take care while you’re over in China,” Yesung interrupted as he kept his gaze steady and in front of him, “I know you’ll be with Hankyung and the others but… call me once in awhile.”

“I will,” Ryeowook promised, “Yesung-sshi-”

“And work hard,” Yesung interrupted again, “You’re not going there to play, you’re going there to promote Super Junior and become a better singer so… so just because all of us hyungs aren’t around anymore, it doesn’t mean you can just slack off.”

“I’ll do my best,” Ryeowook insisted, “Yesung-sshi-”

“And don’t cry every time the others tease you,” Yesung interrupted once more, “You know they care about you and are just having fun so… don’t cry so much over there because I won’t be there to help you out.”

“I’ll try to be strong,” Ryeowook vowed, “Yesung-sshi-”

“And even when-”

“YESUNG!” Ryeowook exclaimed.

Yesung turned to look at him finally, eyes wide with surprise, “Yes?”

“You keep interrupting me,” Ryeowook accused,

“I’m just trying to give you advice. You’re going off to a foreign country where you don’t even know the language or the culture and I’m trying to be a good hyung and -”

It was Yesung’s turn to be interrupted this time. Ryeowook had closed the distance between them and touched his lips to Yesung’s. After a sweet, silent moment, Ryeowook pulled back and turned his gaze away, flushing thoroughly.

“I’m sorry,” Ryeowook muttered.

“It’s… it’s okay,” Yesung insisted as he forced himself to look away also. “Ryeowook… one more thing before you leave tomorrow.”

“Yes, hyung?”

Yesung crossed his hand over and took Ryeowook’s hand in his, intertwining his left hand with Ryeowook's right. He grasped it tightly, protectively, squeezing it lovingly. He tugged Ryeowook closer until he could put his free arm around him, holding him securely to his side. He remained silent a moment, before answering:

“Don’t fall in love with anyone else.”

Eunhyuk is speedily making his way up my favorite member list. I liked the twist at the end, though, because it was so sweet.

Can you tell which stories I'm reading first? Haha.
